WThis is a home-style take on a cocktail from our latest cocktail list. Designed as a party-sized pre-mixed that's bursting full of essence associated with Christmas time, rendering it excellent for your celebration. Save the extra cordial you can use for brunch beverages, puddings, or to make another batch of bikinis.
The Bikini Cocktail
Yields 10 people
To make the Citrus Syrup (yields 750ml)
300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g caster sugar
Ingredients for the Cocktail (produces 850ml, enough for 10)
400ml good quality vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml clementine cordial (see above)
Fresh cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Directions
Making the Cordial: Place every items inside a pot, heat until it reaches a gentle boil, agitating to dissolve. Next, take off the burner and leave to cool down completely. Pour into an clean bottle, cap it keeping it in the fridge, it can be stored for up to one month.
For the Batch Mix: Pour all the liquid ingredients in a large bottle, leave to sit for an hour, then strain best through a fine cloth, so it's perfectly clear.
To serve: Measure 85ml of the cocktail base into a cocktail shaker containing ice, and stir gently for a minute until cold. Pour into an cold coupe glass or equivalent, decorate with some cranberries and finish using a quick spritz of mandarin oil over the drink.
